Our flagship racing shoe. AeroFoam midsole, precision-tuned carbon propulsion plate, and 187g weight. Built for the marathon PR. Designed in Boulder. Tested at the U.S. Olympic Trials.
The Stride Pro 3.0 Carbon is built for one job: getting you to the finish line faster. Every gram, every millimeter, every molecule of foam has been tuned with 23 sub-2:20 marathoners across 6 years of R&D.
The carbon propulsion plate is precision-tuned to your gait through our 3D foot-scanning app — free with every pair. The AeroFoam midsole delivers 92% energy return (vs. the 78% industry average), and the breathable engineered mesh upper keeps your foot cool from mile 1 to mile 26.2.
This is the same shoe worn at the U.S. Olympic Trials last season. It's also the shoe we'd reach for on race day. Built in Vietnam, designed in Boulder, tested everywhere.
Marathon & half-marathon. The 6mm drop and 40/34 stack give you a stable, propulsive platform for racing flat-out.
Tempo & threshold work. Carbon plate and AeroFoam handle the hard efforts without breaking down over a long training cycle.
Not for: Daily training (try Vector Daily 2), trail running (try Trail Recon GTX), or recovery (try Slipstream Recovery).
★ Featured in Runner's World "Editor's Choice" 2026, and worn by 23 sub-2:20 marathoners last season.
22% lighter than the previous generation. 18% more energy return. Our proprietary supercritical-foamed PEBA blend delivers 92% energy return — 14 points above the industry average for racing shoes.
The midsole geometry uses a forked heel design for smoother transitions and a wider forefoot platform for stable toe-off at race pace.
Forged from a single piece of 4mm unidirectional carbon, the Stride Pro 3.0 plate is precision-tuned to your gait through our 3D foot-scanning app.
The plate is sandwiched between two layers of AeroFoam and shaped to deliver propulsion without harsh snap — smooth, continuous energy return from heel-strike to toe-off.
Free foot-scanning included with every pair. Scan takes 90 seconds at home.
Single-piece engineered mesh upper with 3D-printed reinforcement at the heel and toe box. 28g lighter than knit alternatives, more breathable, and more durable over a marathon distance.
Strategically placed rubber pods at high-wear areas. Coverage is just enough to last a 300-mile training cycle without adding weight. Designed to be replaced, not thrown away.
$35 outsole replacement service available at any CADENCE retail location or by mail.

187g feels like nothing on foot. The carbon plate is tuned perfectly — no harsh snap, just smooth propulsion. The mesh upper breathes well even in 80°F+ weather. Used for Boston and NYC, no blisters, no issues. Will be in my rotation for the next 3 marathons minimum.
Switched from the Vaporfly 3 — Stride Pro 3.0 has a smoother transition and doesn't feel as harsh on calf/Achilles. Took 3 minutes off my half marathon time on the first run. The foot-scanning app is no joke; the plate is genuinely tuned to my gait.
Fantastic race shoe. Took 0.5 size up from my normal trainer and it's perfect. Slightly narrow in the forefoot — wide-footed runners should try the Slipstream instead. Otherwise, the energy return and weight are unmatched at this price.
The build quality is what got me first — the mesh is dense and well-structured, the heel counter is rock-solid without being stiff, and the laces have a satisfying texture. On foot it's even better. Took 90 seconds off my 5K time in the first session. The $35 outsole replacement is a smart touch too.
